The Contemplation

This is the backbone of the teachings. It’s similar to a meditation, but instead of an emptying of the mind, it is more like a filling, or structuring of the way you think. Here’s an over-simplified explanation: if you feel stuck, ask yourself a question and listen for the answer. But don’t stop at one answer, ask yourself a series of follow-up questions. Though the contemplation can be that simple, the Storyteller has dozens of classes on this subject. The Life Expansion Series explores this topic over a six-month period.

Below you can download the free class, “The Introduction to the Contemplation.” We hope you enjoy this because there is so much more available on hundreds of subjects.

Summary: This class introduces and explores the concept of the contemplation as a tool for self-discovery and personal change, contrasting it with meditation by stating that contemplation fills the mind, structures it, rather than empties it. The core of this method involves a structured, sequential process of asking specific questions about an unwanted behavior or belief, starting with acceptance of its perceived value. This process moves through stages labeled as allowance, allegiance, will and power, love/discernment, harmony, knowledge, and wisdom, with the goal of uncovering the underlying ideas that form an individual’s reality. It explores how these ideas are grouped, ordered and dependent upon one another. By consistently following these steps and accepting the first answer received, the technique aims to retrain the brain’s synaptic connections to overcome fear and anxiety, ultimately leading to a more appropriate and less reactive approach to life’s issues.

It contains two MP3s and is about 146 minutes long.
